My experience with Unity

Unity was a great way to learn object oriented programming, because everything you use is a object and have attributes and methods(the actions they can do).
For example: a tank has a color, a width, a length, a hitbox and a camera that follows it. Also it has actions like moving, shooting, aiming and the power ups.
Also it was a fun process, we went to a Unity conference.

Where they show us some games that are being developed in the country with unity. Something that I don’t like about the gaming developers community is that some of them are great at coding but make games that look so boring that no one will play them. There was one game they showed that had a horrible idea but was very polished and look good. It is strange, but there was one of zombies which look very promising. Also there was an example of a micro transaction based game which name is Tacomania or something like that, it was the top seller of the iOS app store of November.
Also we had a lot of fun at testing the game, the bugs were so random that we always had a good laugh. Also Chava always lost at the game lol
It was a good experience, in which I have learned a lot.

Why we should run away from WordPress? Why not?

Beautiful medium, with your easy to read and simplistic layout and your incredible use of highlighting and comments. Why you weren’t here before? I feel I can’t go back and take Facebook and Twitter seriously after discovering this social network. People making great opinions of topics of all kind with the sufficient amount of memes there to be happy and don’t die from a desmemetion. (Not really, but in the end we now we love it and need them in our lives)
I like that it feels like a social network, I hate WordPress. There isn’t any chance that a random person will come and read what you write, you are tied to the people that follow you in your other social networks. This in not that bad, but this doesn’t enrich your point of view when comparing to people outside of your bubble. It feels like people there are always hungry for something new and it’s a great feeling so refreshing.
Also the comment section is so obsolete in WordPress, the highlights to comment in a specific line of the blog is genius, it helps understand more the responses while giving specific insights to the writer.
What do you lose? Personalization and liberty at the design. But I see this as a good point, stop being stressed about the design, your hosting or your code, it’s better to concentrate in writing and get a better quality in your content. I have seen people with such beautiful or complicated blogs but with such post that suck as much as mine. That is not good and should change.

Angular JS for noobs like me.

I didn’t like the blog, why?
I feel there isn’t any type of recipe like the points in the blog, the author say this but he didn’t go deep in the topic.
You should learn what you want and what you think is your passion. I am passionate about discovering things, investigating and searching for innovative solutions for problems that we live now, so I can decide what can help me achieve this goal. Last semester I failed a class and didn’t get such a great grade, but I am pretty sure that I learn a lot of new things more than the ones my teachers were teaching me. I wanted more, I want more, I won’t stop now.
I didn’t go for the top grade or for impressing my teachers, that doesn’t help my goal. So when I saw the opportunity to learn about startups and how they work with their different weapons (ok, it will be better to call them methodologies), I took it. And I am happy, I got into Tec Lean Accelerator Program where I learned a lot about business. If I want to make a change I need to know this, that time was spent in something a lot of people of first semester wouldn’t like to. But his use of my time bring me one more thing that I think it is the most important.

Meeting people who can enrich you.

I feel very grateful to all the people who told me new things and then became my friends. All this experiences have been great but this was because I was not afraid of going out of my comfort zone to learn something that can help me achieve my goals.
I want you to do a exercise:

Write your goals. Then the things you need to know for them to come real. And then learn one thing each week.
You will feel like a new person every week.

You should try it, but don’t think you only need to know about one side of the fight. In the present time, we need to be prepare to be in any position.

My sleep, my WSQs

This one was very tricky, for reversing the number I needed to look on the other people code. I found one method that I thought was brilliant.
It was fun making this. I should write more, but I need to sleep.

Will update it with images and a topic later this week.

Valentine’s day: Method not found

I needed to finish my WSQs so I grab the coffee, my pc and some food and began the coding.
First, I need to say something to my pc because Valentine’s day. PC I love you more than Java. Ok, I know I am really bad at flirting and the computer is no exception.

Keep focus! You need to work, you need the PC to be proud. (This type of posts are what you got after not sleeping all weekend, thank you Tec!)
So here is the minimum common divisor, it was pretty easy and I did it with a friend to help him.

And here is the Babylonian, I am surprised. They were very intelligent or have a lot of free time, imagine what we can do without Tec having all our time. Joking, we love all the work…~~please don’t strike me with the entrepreneurial lightning~~

Sometimes people only memorize things for passing the class with a good grade and also there are teachers who doesn’t integrate their students to the class. This leads to the problems of people not always learning in practice what they should, but also I think there should be a balanced.
In my mind, the perfect setting will be a balance between “Flipped classroom” and the typical method. Sometimes I felt lost and without any motivation to post blogs, and I think this is generated because there is no immediate feedback from the instructor and also I miss having work assignments which are thought in the class. And also because we have liberty but in reality it doesn’t exist, we need to follow a path to pass the class.

I am more a believer of having each one a different path with a shared end line.

We could be told to made a project and give the bases of programming in class. But that wouldn’t be sufficient so everyone would be searching for new things in the web. I am not an expert in education and I am not calling this system bad, I like it but my satisfaction is not fulfilled like when doing my other project.
