Furthermore, educators who flip their classes are flexible in their expectations of student timelines for learning and in their assessments of student learning.

Consider your current status on thoughts on the following three statements:

I establish spaces and time frames that permit students to interact and reflect on their learning as needed.

I continually observe and monitor students to make adjustments as appropriate.

I provide students with different ways to learn content and demonstrate mastery.

=======
Some recommend reading/viewing (you should go beyond this or choose something different if you like):

http://www.brianbennett.org/blog/moving-the-flipped-class/
Note Brian’s point about NOT focusing on video, video is good but not needed

http://www.ascd.org/publications/educational-leadership/feb06/vol63/num05/If-They’d-Only-Do-Their-Work!.aspx
Much of the discussion so far is about students being mature enough to do the work. Please post to YouTube (you can leave it as ‘unlisted’ or make it public, your choice) and embed that inside your blog post

Post a short essay (How long? Long enough, a single page even) of your thoughts on this to get them into written format.
