First of all thanks for everything Ken.

The course is designed for people who want to learn by their own will, and that you as a student are devoted to spend your free time looking for new ways to learn the mastery topics and you will benefit the most if you are an organized person.

In the class there is a Teacher (Ken Bauer) and he is at all times available (here is his schedule), you can book him for half an hour in that link, anda those 30 minutes can be of great help since he guides you through the topics of the semester and you learn from it. In class he is also there if you need any help and if you feel anxious in talking toward the teacher you can always ask anyone froma the class and this kind of activity is what Ken encourages for us students to make.

In short if you are willing to dedicate extra hours and learn by yourself with a guide (Ken) it will help you out a lot, but if you will not demand yourself to study you will have a hard time getting through the semester.

#WSQ09 Multipart Data and Files

For this wsq we have to create a function that receives as parameter the name of a file and the function counts the number of lines and the number of characters in the file which it returns as a single value. In this challenge we have to learn to convert from string to char and here is a link provided in one of fabrizzio’s Post string-to-char for the program to recieve a sentence and then break it down to single letters.WSQ901wsq902

The water Quality

--Originally published at TC1017

Wednsday 22 at 11:00 am I had the meeting with Ken so we could have the interview with the students from Canada!. The interview was pretty good, I had the opportunity to talk with Angelika and in our talk the topic of air contamination came up, and since here in Guadalajara we suffer from it, we also have a water problem, currently one fifth of the State of Jalisco does not count with the necessary clorifiaction process for the water to meet the state demands ( El Informador, 2015), and there is a traveler’s webpage that recomends not to drink the tap water in Guadalajara.

But in Canada there is a whole diferent story for example in the city of Toronto where the water quality is ensured by the Ontario Drinking Water Standards, assures the people that they can fill a cold glass of water and drink it without worrying if it is contaminated or not (City of Toronto, 2017).

This is surprising how students from diferent cities have diferent perceptions of daily life, the canadian students taking for granted the fact that they can drink clean tap water, and the mexican students that have to boil it for them to drink it. And we should act in this problem by trying to find the way to purify the water to be drinkable.
