Bye Midterm 1

--Originally published at TC3045 – Alfonso Irai

Finally I got to finish my first midterm exams. However, besides I felt really tired by the middle to the end of the week, It wasn’t an excuse to not work in our project.

This week I was working on how to save al the JSON’s on a local storage so we didn’t have to save them in the database. That, just to make more efficient the data mining process.

So here my report, Joaquin.

Bye, bye, week.

The fact that it was a short week, didn’t work so much to rest. Was a very long week with partials and stuff. But let’s go back and talk about Elections2018.

At the beginning of the week, I started to work with Arturo. He was explaining me how the database works and how we connect Twitter’s API. This was very helpful because that lead me to begin working on how the tests should be working out, and most important, I began to really understand what was going on.

Entering to midterms

After these couple of days that we took off (thanks Venustiano Carranza), It’s time to get on track again. Unfortunately midterms start this week. And as we work on our project, we must also focus on preparing for the exams.

My goal this week is to really understand how the streamer works in order to star the first functional tests. Hope we can get that done fast.

In case you can’t find me this week, you can look over me in my place. Maybe I’ll be crying.

Sweet holidays

Another week has passed, and we keep working and getting our stuff done. However, we had a meeting with Ken on Tuesday and we talked about how our project was doing. And I think that he thought our project is doing well.

I’ve been working on the database tests. I’m analyzing how is it working ’cause I also want to understand how it works.

Really happy to have a short week, however, I’m staring to feel the stress about our midterm.

See ya’ readers!

Work work work

Last Friday, I spoke to Mike and he gave the great news that the first data base functions where ready to be tested. That means, that this week’s work will be focused on that: implementing the first tests in our project.

Hope that by the end of the week, I can have the first tests working so I can start focusing  on other things.

Happy 4th week, mates!

Getting things done

As I predicted, my team and I had a very productive week. We focused on what mattered in order to present our project on Friday. In my case, I did the first testing tests so I can begin implementing them into the project.

In my other courses, I got most of things done. A thing that I feel really excited about.

Hope next week works the same, and why not? Works better.

I’m back!

Perhaps you wonder, hey Poncho! How are you doing? Well, my friends, the thing is that I feel better. Not 100%, but I surely feel this week will be very productive.

What am I going to do? That’s the thing. In fact, I need to get up to all my classes, and Software Quality is not the exception. I will be exploring PyUnit and creating some example tests to see how does it work.

Hope that by the end of the week, we can have some PyUnit testing implemented.

Stay tuned!

P.S. I have learned that everything happens for a reason. So when something doesn’t go the way you expected, chill out.

Nothing interesting.

It’ll be really hard to write today’s blog. In fact, I don’t have much to talk or write about. I think that the most interesting thing I did was learn how our project will work. After that, everything is just forgettable.

I ended up in the hospital after my class. And until today, I grabbed my computer again and started to work and make all my week homework’s.

Hope this week that’s gonna star will be a better and more productive one.

Guy’s! Your health is first. Everything else is extra.

Week 2: Let the game begin.

--Originally published at TC3045 – Alfonso Irai

A lot of things happened to me this weekend. It really sucked the fact that I ended in the hospital on Saturday. I’m doing better, in case you wondered.

My second week started with a lot of work. From meetings and classes, and also, going to see the doctor again was a really pain in my a**, but here we are… working really hard to get this project done.

My team spent the entire weekend thinking about how we were going to implement our project, and at one point I felt really stressed about the fact that I was not contributing enough because I was sick and my head wasn’t really thinking on that. So, I got manos a la obra and started investigating about everything my team talked about.

That’s my challenge this week. Get on track again and perhaps start implementing stuff that we need in order to get our project done. I really hope that at the end of the week, I can have a more clearer idea about what am I gonna do. Also, I’m confident that I will implement something by the end of the week.

I think that’s all. I feel really tired by all the things I went on these days (and maybe my the meds to). Hope this will be a much better week.
