This is a five day intense course to give students background in their need to be connected digitally and to own their presence on the internet. We will include not only technical instruction on how to carve out your own space on the open internet but an ethics and communications background to give more structure to your personal presence. Everyone will have a digital footprint, the question is are you controlling your presence on the internet or is somebody else?

Dates

This is September 26-30. Should be half a day in person but I am also open (and happy to receive) to online participants (official and non-official). This is a connective MOOC (or cMOOC) but perhaps we should call it an hMOOC?

General Objectives

Students will be able to setup their own hosted domain to publish blogs, video, audio and any other resource on the internet. They also will develop a solid understanding of why this is important for their future during the studies and professional life going forward.

Prerequisites (Degree, year, etc)

None, open to any student at the Tecnológico de Monterrey that can connect to the internet.

Additional Notes

We have experts in Digital Identity from the technical background as well as communications, ethics and security. Join this course, you will *not* regret that decision.

The organizers have deep experience in this area and can easily organize a connected experience for multiple participants across various locations. We feel we could easily handle 100+ students if needed.
