A flipped classroom is form of learning which is student centered. In this educational model, students learn content by doing their lectures at home and the usual homework is done in class.

In my opinion a flipped classroom is an efective way I learning. I can say that I have learned so much more when I have real discussions about the problems with my teachers and schoolfellows, because we have a more natural interaction. I mean, A flipped classroom it’s not the teacher speaking at the front and you afraid of asking something because of interrupting the teacher or because the class needs to keep following in order to review all the material in time. When we have a real coversation on the course material I feel more confident to ask about my doubts and I become more confident and relaxed when solving problems, which automatically leds to better grades and the most important, better learning.

I can share an experience on this, last semester I failed my partial 2 of math and I really needed a very high grade in the final exam to pass the course. The teacher started a “Homeworks club”, where, we gathered 2 afternoons every weeek to solve together problems and ask about our doubts. We were allowed to ask our fellows for help and also we can all ask the professor about any doubt we had, we solved a lot of exercises and solved a lot of doubts, and it all feel like a more intimate and confidate environment for our learning. The results started to show instantly, I started to get a deeper understanding on Diferential Calculous, solve more problems correctly and also I got a 90/100 in my final exam, more than I expected.

So I can really say that I believe in flipped classrooms, because they do help us to learn better and nothing is better than that.
