Diego helped us to edit a video, and here it is, I hope you like is about lasts year iWeek, My girlfriend, her sister and me, went to a trip to chicago with the Civil Engineering students and professors, and it was amazing!!!! I’ve never been to Chicago and I love it, I would love to go back. Here is the link of the video:

Next…

LIVE TALK w/ Rebecca J. Hogue & Helen DeWaard, we talk about a bunch of stuff this time, there were questions about security online, some others about how blowing and writing in public spaces can help you out as a therapy or to just free ourselves from things that we keep inside.

From all the talks we had through the week I think this one was one of the most informational talks, we asked a lot of question about different topics even different context questions and they answers everything in a very clear way. All the group was very participative. I think that was what it miss in the first two days, but it is compressible.

So with this last post iWeek is over, we are back to normal courses, back to try to save the semester jaja.

Penultimate Day of iWeek…?

anigif_enhanced-buzz-13702-1383685185-6

I had a little bit of trouble today with commenting on some blogposts, but in the end I did it!! I read some interesting option of my classmates about technology and also found pretty good pictures of safari photo!!

Moving on…

We had a nice live talk wi Maha Bali, she is in Cairo, it’s really surprising how technology can approach us that much!! I liked what she does and how she does it. I personally think its more difficult to have digital citizenship than citizenship in your city or country. She deals with practically all the world, and that is awesome!!!! I found very nice that her daughter was there, she interrupt Maha several times, but it was really cut and funny jaja.

I asked one question to Maha – what would she prefer to send a message to the people that follows her, a blogspot or a video? – and the answer was pretty clear and assertive. I liked that she was not expecting our questions and also that she ask us too, so we could have a short talk, or share our point of view with her and the rest of the class.

I used twitter today again and Maha replied to me, thats cool, I never spect her to reply me, but she did and it was nice…

See you tomorrow!!

Today on rafaboiweek… Photo Safari on Campus!!!

Its very important to know who you are and where you came from.

The last picture is about passion, if you do everything with passion, things will work out. My passion is cars, I love cars, in this picture we can see the steering wheel of a new Ford Focus RS, I really will love to own one of these, I’m sure that one day I will be able to purchase the car of my dreams.

And this is everything for today, I had lots of fun taking the pictures and walking through the campus,  it also helped me to think where am I going in my life, the things that I need to do to find success and happiness in life.

See you in the next post folks…Goodbye!

THIRD DAY!!!!

Interesting day, I’ve never analyzed the apps that I use, or how to classify them. Today we learn about visitor/ resident & personal/professional scheme, and to be honest it was fun to see how everyone in the room had different opinions on where to place the apps. Every single scheme was different, some had the same web pages as me but organized in a  different way, and some others had bunch of new web pages that i’ve never heard about.

It was very nice today to interact with Bonnie and Autumm via Twitter, and the cool thing was that they actually replay to me and David liked my tweet.

I hope that on friday we can do the same interact activity, I think that is time for me to start using again twitter, but in a different way that I used to, it would be nice to use it for professional purposes.

That’s all for today, See you tomorrow!!!

As a mechanical engineer student this blogging stuff its super new for me, I haven’t done this before, but I am excited and maybe I will make a blog in the future to share my personal tastes, I would really like to make a Blog about things I like, cars, watches, traveling, etc.

Let’s talk about what we are going to be looking at this iWeek…

Digital Identity…

I search in the web for the definition and I found that “A digital identity is an online or networked identity adopted or claimed in cyberspace by an individual, organization or electronic device.”(1)

I think most people don’t know the real meaning or the importance of digital identity, when we create a new profile on a social network and upload or post bunch of things we don’t realize that once the material is online, you can never erase it. I think that is one of the cool things of the internet, but at the same time it can be very dangerous, everyone can upload stuff or search for things, or try to steal things, like your identity.

Today we started our new iWeek course, we had a live talk with Dave Cormier. It was very interesting and he made me think about -me- “out there”in the web. the internet a whole new galaxy, you can find everything about anything, you just need to know how to search and where to search.

The issue that frustrates me the most is the security, I asked Dave -How can we keep our identity safe?- and his answer was really honest and a bit scary. the truth is that no one is safe, everyone can be hacked. The secret is to keep everything simple, like Dave said, post nice stuff, be kind, and upload to the internet things that won’t hurt us in the future if someone make bad use of it.

I am really looking forward to this course and I hope to learn a lot about digital identity and also how to make a nice blog for sharing things I like.

See you in the next post!!
