Word of the Day: MOOC (Massive Open Online Course)

Today we had a session which was streamed on the Internet with our guest speaker Dave Cormier from Canada he is an Open Learning expert he talked about who we are on the Internet, how things have changed and what might come later for the education around us, later on we were introduced to WordPress (weebly sucks) and were assigned to make our first entry of the #Semanai.

There was an interesting question that said “What’s the worst thing that could happen with the information you post online?”

David said that it was the first time someone asked that question and proceeded to reply, it’s obvious that David is an expert in his area and had really good answers and explanations that made us wiser in this topic.

Our last activity of the day was to observe some videos that talked about our expressions online, what can happen when we upload things without permission like the “Star Wars Kid” example, how we got information on the Internet even before being born, we have so much information online without even noticing with all these new apps that capture photos or videos.
